Holiday window unveilings mark the start to the season in New York City each year. And ahead of Black Friday, last week Saks‘ flagship store hosted its big reveal on Fifth Avenue alongside Dior, for its “Dior’s Carousel of Dreams at Saks”-themed display.
As the brand states, in this “unforgettable, immersive holiday experience, for a limited time, the world of Dior is at saks.com with a pop-up showcasing women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, accessories, baby, maison and La Collection Privée Christian Dior, in addition to a selection of only-at-Saks pieces.”
As for the display, “Dior will also bring the spirit of the season to life on Fifth Avenue, transforming the Saks NYC Flagship with an iconic light show and a spectacular holiday window display, taking over all 10 stories.”
As Fashionista reports, celebrities and friends of the house joined for the kick-off festivities, where 60 dancers from the Martha Graham Dance Company performed in custom looks by designer Maria Grazia Chiuri, before a light show with fireworks.
Keeping in line with the French luxury label’s recent runways, A-listers kept it neutral color-wise: Jennifer Lawrence in monochromatic skirt suiting, Rachel Zegler in a sheer black dress, Tracee Ellis Ross in silky onyx look. Others sported bold prints, like Maya Hawke in a cheetah dress.
