The city of Houston has officially revealed the names of the eight victims who were part of the “mass causality” incident that took place during Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival over the weekend.
The eight concertgoers ranged in ages from 14 to 27. They were Mirza Baig, Rodolfo Pena, Madison Dubiski, Franco Patino, Jacob Jurinke, John Hilgert, Axel Acosta Avila, and Brianna Rodriguez.
Scott, Live Nation, and other organizers associated with the festival now face at least 14 lawsuits. The rapper has announced that he will be paying for the funeral costs for all eight victims, and all attendees of Astroworld, according to ScoreMore Shows, will be fully refunded.
“I just want to send out prayers to the ones that was lost last night,” Scott said in one of his video statements regarding the tragedy. “We’re actually working right now to identify the families so we can help assist them through this tough time.”
