Alec Baldwin Has Finally Sat Down For an Interview After “Rust” Movie Set Tragedy

Reportedly, Alec Baldwin has been officially interviewed for the first time at length about the tragedy that occurred on the set of the film Rust. Baldwin was holding a gun meant to be filled with blanks that went off and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

The interview, which took place on Tuesday, was with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. There is no set date for when the conversation will air on the network.

Back in October, one day after the shooting, Baldwin posted a brief statement to social media.

“There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours,” the 30 Rock actor tweeted. “I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna.”
