Alabama, Ohio State and Georgia at Top of College Football Recruiting Rankings

The college football season is over, but the work is never done for these coaches. The offseason is where championships are won with recruiting being so important to great teams. Who is doing the best when it comes to recruiting so far this year?

Alabama is at the top of the chart with 25 commits so far. According to 247 Sports, they have signed 5-four star recruits and 17-four star recruits among those 25 led by stud running back Najee Harris and receiver Jerry Jeudy.

Ohio State might have a better recruiting class than Alabama if you’re looking at average ranking of commits, but they lack in numbers. They have signed “just” 19 high school student athletes with 7-five star recruits being among them. When JT Barrett heads to the NFL after this season they should be ok because Tate Martell, a big time dual threat quarterback, has signed on to play with the Buckeyes this year.

Georgia has done impressive things since Kirby Smart took over last year. Their recruiting has been top notch over the past year and this year we see more of the same. They have signed 23 recruits with two of them being five stars and 17 of them being four stars. Georgia has to be excited about signing Richard LeCounte III, safety, and Isaiah Wilson, offensive tackle.

Here is the top 10 rankings according to 247 Sports.

2. Ohio State

4. Michigan
