Back in May, Jacquemus and Nike teased another stellar installment of their ongoing partnership, resulting in a brand new Air Max 1 ‘86 silhouette. As Hypebae reports, along with the buzzy new sneaker, which landed in three core colorways, the latest collaboration featured a slew of ready-to-wear and accessories which has since made its official launch.
First teased via Instagram, the full collection silently made its way onto the Jacquemus website, offering an in-depth look at each item (and maybe most importantly, the price tags.) Featuring a range of athletic-inspired silhouettes like jogging suits, basic tees, sports bras, T-shirt dresses and skirts, the sporty collection arrives in collegiate hues of red, white and navy.
“This collection is born from the inspiration I find every day in Paris and in Nike’s athletes and the sports references I have always loved,” says Simon Porte Jacquemus in a press release. “I see the collection as a mix of sport, fashion and culture in the most beautiful city in the world, where Nike athletes will take centre stage this summer,” he adds.
One of the standout pieces includes new colorways of the Swoosh Bag, which made its debut back in February with Sha’Carri Richardson. Arriving in black, red and white, the bag is paired with chic bras and skirts complete with white piping, alongside one-piece bathing suits, track jackets and more.
The collection is showcased through a new campaign and short film, dubbed J’aime Paris, which marks Jacquemus’ directorial debut. Featuring a stellar cast of global athletes and icons, the campaign stars Lila Moss, Central Cee, Serena Williams and more.
“When in Paris, the world simply feels different: more romantic, artistic and beautiful. J’aime Paris is an ode to the city I adore, drawing out all I love about this vibrant place and how those inspirations manifest in my third collection with Nike. This video is a blend of Jacquemus; icons and a unique mix of talents that represent French culture,” Jacquemus continues.
