According to Yahoo Entertainment, the Grammy winning superstar Adele shared a post by Grenfell United, the page is for survivors and families of the Grenfell tower fire who are seeking justice for the 72 lives lost June 14th, 2017. he thought she would use her notoriety to spread the word, the groups post stated, “For 5 years we’ve had to endure a justice system that protects the powerful, A system that prevents justice. Whilst this system exists, we face the same unachievable battle as the many before us. From Aberfan, to Hillsborough, justice has been denied & #Grenfell is no different.” Along with Adele’s retweet of the statement she posted, “I stand with the Grenfell families. Follow @GrenfellUnited and join their campaign for truth, justice and change.”. The massive fire that took the lives of 72 people burned up to 1,800 degrees as it set the 24 story apartment on fire. Just last year Adele made an appearance in Remember Grenfell, a film about the tragedy released for the anniversary last year, thanking Grenfield United for “putting your pain aside for all these years to fight the fight.”.
