Adele and Ed Sheeran Say Decline King Charles’ Coronation Concert Invite

King Charles is on a search for big time performers for the Coronation concert at Windsor Castle and just was informed that Ed Sheeran and Adele are not going to be able to make it due to their busy schedules.

The concert is set to take place on May 7th, the day after King Charles III’s coronation where he will be crowned at Westminster Abbey, and screened by the BBC. Several thousand tickets are expected to be sold to the public for the event.

A source that is involved with event planning said of Adele and Ed Sheeran, “He was very keen that they were part of the concert.”

The source continued to say, “They approached the two of them, but got replies saying that they were unavailable, which was a massive disappointment, They are titans of the showbiz industry and are quintessentially British but also known across the globe. It’s such a shame.’

Ed Sheeran won’t be able to make it due to having a show scheduled in Texas for May 6th. While Adele’s last listed public calendar commitment seems to be March 25th in Las Vegas, prior to the Coronation concert.

Meanwhile, the King also wishes to see Harry Styles, Lionel Richie, and the Spice Girls perform at his special event. Although, none of them have yet confirmed if they will be performing at Coronation.
