Ace Frehley recently played his first shows of 2023 during this week, and shook up his setlist with some songs from Kiss, Frehley’s Comet, as well as, his solo catalog. His dates got started on February 2nd at the Paramount Center for the Arts in Bristol, Tennessee. He kicked of the set with the 1974 Kiss track “Parasite” before playing both “Snow Blind” and “Speedin’ Back to My Baby” off of his self-titled 1978 solo debut.
A couple of deep cuts from Kiss also made their way into the set. Frehley played “Escape From the Island” off 1981’s maligned Music From “The Elder” and “Let Me Go, Rock ‘n’ Roll” off 1974’s Hotter Than Hell.
Frehley will be performing several more shows throughout the second half of the month. Meanwhile, last May, he played with ex-Kiss guitarists Vinnie Vincent and Bruce Kulick at Nashville’s Creatures Fest.
