The Academy Awards will be hosted this year by Jimmy Kimmel, Sunday March 4th at 8pm on ABC. The Oscars which will be handed out this year are the most coveted award an actor, actress, producer, director, or film can earn. The first Oscar ceremony took place in 1929, honoring the best work from 1927 and 1928. The first Oscar for Best Movie went to ‘Wings,’ Best Actor to Emil Jennings, and Best Actress Janet Gaynor.
The network has released the long and prestigious list of presenters for the program, and that list includes Chilean actress Daniela Vega, Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman, Laura Dern, Spider-Man: Homecoming star Tom Holland, Tiffany Haddish, Jennifer Garner, Kumail Nanjiani, Viola Davis, Lady Bird director Greta Gerwig, Mahershala Ali, and Emma Stone.
