AC/DC is set to rock Europe with their first tour across the continent in eight years, bringing the legendary band back into the limelight with the “European Power Up Tour.” The iconic hard rock ensemble, featuring Brian Johnson on vocals and Angus Young leading with his electrifying guitar riffs, alongside Stevie Young on rhythm guitar, Matt Laug on drums, and Chris Chaney of Jane’s Addiction on bass, is ready to hit the stage once again. This lineup marks a notable shift, with Chaney stepping in for Cliff Williams, the band’s longtime bassist who retired post the 2016 “Rock or Bust” tour but made a brief return for the 2020 “Power Up” album.
The tour promises an epic 21-show journey through 10 countries, kicking off at Germany’s Veltins Arena on May 17. Fans across Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, and more can anticipate the band’s thunderous performances, culminating in a grand finale at Dublin’s Croke Park on August 17. London’s iconic Wembley Stadium will also host the rock legends for two nights, promising unforgettable performances.
Following a hiatus and the much-celebrated return at California’s Power Trip festival last year, AC/DC’s upcoming tour is a testament to their enduring legacy and the universal appeal of rock music. With the band reuniting key members and overcoming challenges like Johnson’s hearing loss, the “European Power Up Tour” is poised to be a monumental chapter in AC/DC’s storied career, recharging fans with their timeless energy and powerhouse anthems.
