Last week we talked about some teams that could be buyers or sellers and over the weekend we saw a lot of action happen. We saw up close and personal who was willing to ship off prospects for great players and who wanted young talent instead of the veteran player.
Wade Miley was traded from the Mariners to the Orioles. The Orioles have been outstanding this season and felt they needed to bolster their rotation. This move certainly does that for them.
The Yankees already shipped out Aroldis Chapman, but have now sent out Andrew Miller to Cleveland for prospects. They also acquired reliever Tyler Clippard over the weekend.
The other big deal this weekend was the Matt Kemp for Hector Olivera trade that occurred between the San Diego Padres and the Atlanta Braves. Kemp is likely going to hit 30 home runs this season while Olivera has been suspended due to off the field issues.
