Floral prints will be everywhere this Spring and Summer. Each year, designers are inspired by a variety of floral prints and 2019 doesn’t seem to be any different, from abstract to realistic, these blooms will take many different forms. So while floral prints may have become a spring-season mainstay, this time around, there is a prevalence of vintage-inspired blossoms and bold, colorful fabrics.
Carolina Herrera and Michael Kors set the tone in New York with options in yellows and greens, and the trend continued straight through the last day in Paris at Miu Miu. Other stand out designers who flew with the floral motif were Altuzarra, Andrew Gn, Giambattista Valli, Dior, Libertine, and heck, Elie Saab even put a botanic spin on her footwear.
Some designers went for big sparse bold blooms and others let a garden of floral fashion wash over their fabrics. The great thing about the floral fabric madness is that there are colors and styles to suit just about everyone’s taste. And once the winter doldrums are over, won’t you want to lift your spirits with a little fashion-forward bouquet this spring?
