National Wear Red Day is this Friday, February 5th. The first Friday each February, American Heart Month, the nation comes together, igniting a wave of red from coast to coast. From landmarks to news anchors, neighborhoods to online communities; this annual groundswell unites millions of people for a common goal: the eradication of heart disease and stroke.
Everyone in the nation is encouraged to wear red to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease and save lives. Cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women – and too many women, particularly our youngest most diverse women, remain unaware.
The price of cardiovascular disease is high, and 1 in 3 women will pay that price with their life. By standing with the American Heart Association during February, which is Heart Month, we can all come together to raise awareness and fight to end heart disease and stroke. Because when we come together, there’s nothing we can’t do.
Join the AHA and style yourself red this Friday – Red Dress pin, masks, shirts, tie, scarf, socks, and more! The choice is yours!
Share your personal connection to the mission. Your friends and family want to hear your story and why you’re passionate about fighting women’s No. 1 killer. Plus, you could save a life by raising awareness. If we can turn the world red, we can change the future. Follow and share your posts on social media with #WearRedDay.
