On Thursday, January 30th, pop star Dua Lipa dropped her third single ahead of the release of her sophomore album, Future Nostalgia. “Physical” follows previously released singles “Don’t Start Now” and the album’s title track. Future Nostalgia is slated to drop on April 3rd.
The record describes an out-of-this-world love to a catchy, techno beat. “Common love isn’t for us/ We created something phenomenal/ Don’t you agree?” she opens the tune. “It’s fun, you can dance to it,” she said. “It’s definitely my craziest of high energy songs.”
“Who needs to go to sleep, when I got you next to me?” she sultrily asks before an explosive chorus. It’s the type of song you imagine jumping around with your friends at a club to.
