On Monday, December 9th, Lizzo dropped a feel-good music video for her smash hit “Good As Hell” celebrating Black Girl Magic and female empowerment. The song is nearly four years old at this point, yet the song is consistently on the charts nearly every week. Baby how you feelin’?
“Boss up and change your life/ You can have it all, no sacrifice/ I know he did you wrong, we can make it right/ So go and let it all hang out tonight/ ‘Cause he don’t love you anymore/ So walk your fine a– out the door!,” Lizzo preaches as she leads a dance party with the Southern University marching band onboard a bus emblazoned with her name.
The project was filmed during Homecoming Week at Southern University in Baton Rouge, La., the visual is a joyous celebration of black girl magic, shining a spotlight on the historically black university’s female musicians and artists as it follows members of school’s dance team, marching band and drumline.
