The Best Dressed at the 2019 CMA’s

Country music’s biggest night of the year definitely did not disappoint.  The 2019 CMA Awards rolled out the red carpet for the industry’s brightest stars in Nashville, Tennessee. And in true CMA fashion, musicians and artists celebrated the 53rd award show in gorgeous dresses (and jumpsuits!) that showed off their daring side.

Hosted by Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire, celebrities arrived in floor-skimming gowns, bold jumpsuits, and sleek pantsuits. And with thigh-high slits, plunging necklines, and striking prints, it’s safe to say these looks were anything but boring.

The biggest trends of the night included sleek black ensembles, beaded details, and vivid hues. Performers Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves and Maren Morris kept all eyes on them in bright colors like pink, yellow and blue while presenters Hannah Brown and Kristin Chenoweth went the elegant route in dresses with eye-catching trains.  And then there were best dressed country royalty couples like Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, and Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.

Before she took on hosting duties (with her first of twelve, count ’em TWELVE looks for the night), Carrie Underwood looked ah-mazing in a semi-sheer confection that featured a show-stopping, sequin-covered Elie Madi gown featuring a sheer skirt and a tulle cape and train, accessorized with Jimmy Choo heels, Jared Lehr earrings and rings from Loree Rodkin and Maxior.

Kelsea Ballerini was decked out in sequins with her long-sleeve blue crop top and matching skirt, while Karen Fairchild walked on the wild side with her leopard-print getup complete with cascading fabric.

But it may have been Dolly herself who stole the runway with her body skimming sparkly, lacy, cream colored Jackson Lowell gown with a thigh high slit that managed to be glam, sassy, daring and yet tasteful all at the same time.  Just like Dolly herself!
