The love affair between Ed Sheeran and Heinz Ketchup is, literally, skin deep. He even has a tattoo of the Heinz logo inked on his bicep. But now, he’s taking his love affair even further to benefit charity.
After teaming up earlier this year for a limited-edition bottle of Edchup, Sheeran and Heinz have done it again with the limited-edition Ed Sheeran X Heinz bottle, which features a variety of of Ed’s tattoos on 150 bottles. The designs include a paw print, jigsaw pieces, and a rose.
Sheeran posted a picture with his signature bottle, revealing that the effort will raise money for the charities Rise Against Hunger and East Anglia Children’s Hospices (EACH) through the auction of the the first three bottles at a special Christie’s Auction House event in London on Thursday (Aug. 15); only 100 tickets to the exclusive auction will be available to the public on a first come, first served basis.
The majority of the signed bottles, 104, will be given away in an online sweepstakes. “Celebrating 150 years of Heinz, our number one fan Ed Sheeran has collaborated with us once again, this time on a very special, very limited edition bottle of his favourite sauce,” reads a statement about the giveaway from the effort’s online partner, Paddle8. “Just 150 bottles are available across the world, each meticulously crafted, and signed by the man himself. And as if that’s not enough, every piece also comes in a Collector’s Edition speaker box. 104 bottles are up for grabs in our global free prize draw.”5
