Dolly Parton Slated to Star in ‘Christmas at Dollywood’

It has been reported, by Entertainment Tonight, that Dolly Parton is making her return to television during the 2019 holiday season with a new film on the Hallmark Channel called Christmas at Dollywood.

Filming begins in Tennessee in August and the actress promises the project will include “a lot of really fun Dolly surprises.”

The country singer will be featured in the film alongside Danica McKellar (The Wonder Years, Project Mc), who plays the role of Rachel Lewis, a Broadway producer and single mother who has learned that investors have mismanaged the funds for her upcoming show into bankruptcy.

“I grew up watching Dolly Parton on TV,” McKellar previously told ET. “I love her. She is everything. I got to meet her — she is charismatic and gorgeous and lovely, and she’s the best person ever. I’m so excited that I get to work with her.”
