After 40 years of making very loud, very fast music, Slayer is currently thrashing across the world on its farewell tour. And Jägermeister is giving them a lovely little thank you gift in the form of special-edition bottles featuring original Slayer artwork, available now through Jäger’s UK website.
This isn’t the first time Slayer has crossed paths with Jäger. At first back in 2003, so the partnership has been a long time coming. Metal Hammer reports “We’ve had some good times with Jägermeister through the years, we love that they’re creating a limited-edition bottle to recognize the end of our journey, and it looks awesome.. I’m honored that our friends at Jägermeister hold us in such high regard. I can’t wait to get my hands on one!” Slayer guitarist Kerry King said in a statement.
The Slayer Jäger costs £100, which is pretty steep, and it is only available at the UK Jäger online store—for now.
The 1.75-liter bottle of Jägermeister comes in an engraved box, which can be customized. For instance, you can add the phrase “I hate everyone equally” from “Disciple,” which seems fitting for these harrowing times. Its release is timed with Slayer’s upcoming appearance at Download UK music festival in June.
