Stanley Cup Playoffs Kicks Off with Free Concert from Cage the Elephant

On Thursday, April 4th, the National Hockey League announced that they will open the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs with a free concert from one of rock’s heavy hitters, Cage The Elephant.

The concert’s on Wednesday, and will be held at Curtis Hixon Park in downtown Tampa, Florida. The 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs Party is free admission and begins at 5:15 pm ET.

Cage the Elephant is originally from Bowling Green, Kentucky. The rock band began playing together in high school and over the years have gained critical acclaim. The band has revealed that their next album, Social Cues, is due April 19th.

Cage the Elephant recently announced The Night Running Tour, which will be co-headlined by Beck.

On the radio, the band’s new single from its forthcoming album, “Ready to Let Go,” currently sits atop the alternative song charts. Cage the Elephant also happens to hold the record for most No. 1s on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart of any artist this decade.

The 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs begin Wednesday.
