Twitter is going Crazy with People Are Googling Rihanna and Their Birthdays

Horoscopes and tarot card readings be gone, the internet has given birth to a new fortune teller, and it’s a pretty stylish one. You may have noticed people on your Twitter feeds posting photos of what Rihanna wore on their birthday, and it is a startlingly accurate representation of mood, personality, and overall life.

The viral trend began after Shari, who goes by @ChipdNudePolish on Twitter, put her followers to a simple challenge: “Google Rihanna and your birthday to see which outfit you get.” Her tweet included an example, showcasing Riri at the 2016 BRIT Awards on February 25, donning a strappy lavender fringe dress.

“I was inspired by a tweet I saw floating around earlier that morning,” Shari told Teen Vogue of her initial post on February 17, adding that she spotted some of her followers doing a similar game with Beyoncé’s best looks. “With Rihanna’s birthday on the horizon, I figured why not!”

Soon enough, people began responding to Shari’s tweet with their own results, and it seems as though everyone was vibing with their given outfits. Forget rising sign or moon sign — I’m all about my Rihanna sign, and it seems as though plenty of others are too. At the time of writing, there are over 2,000 replies to Shari’s initial tweet — which is something that the 25-year-old Brooklyn resident did not expect. “It’s a tad bit overwhelming,” she said of her now-viral status. “I was just sitting on my couch watching the responses just roll it. I loved seeing everyone’s outfits and responses!”
