Shaquem Griffin Shares Inspiring Story as First Amputee to Play for a National Football Team

Tackle The Challenge Luncheon presented by Ryan LLC and their CEO, Brint Ryan who is a longtime ACHIEVE supporter, invites local business leaders and sports enthusiasts to network on Wednesday, March 20th and hear the inspiring story of Shaquem Griffin, an American Football star linebacker who is the first amputee to play on a national football team. Local sports announcer Mike Doocy will facilitate a question and answer session to share the story of how Mr. Griffin overcame numerous challenges in his rise to become one of the nation’s most productive defenders.

“We are excited to host a luncheon that will not only motivate and inspire others as they hear Shaquem’s story, but also challenge them as a community to empower adults with disabilities by providing jobs and an inclusive work environment,” commented Tim Allen, Executive Director for ACHIEVE.

The luncheon will be held at Omni Mandalay Hotel in Las Colinas, Texas. ACHIEVE is a non-profit organization that partners with local businesses to assist individuals with disabilities to gain a sense of purpose, develop confidence and feel productive as they receive vocational training and experience job success.
