Chris Stapleton, Emmylou Harris & Eric Church Join Willie Nelson Concert Celebration

Event producer Blackbird Presents has announced the addition of Chris Stapleton, Emmylou Harris, Eric Church and Jimmy Buffett for a concert celebration of Willie Nelson. Willie: Life & Songs Of an American Outlaw, a Willie Nelson All-Star Concerts Celebration is also adding performances from Bobby Bare, Jamey Johnson, Lukas Nelson, Margo Price, Micah Nelson, Nathaniel Rateliff, Ray Benson and Steve Earle.

The one-time only concert event will take place on January 12th at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. The gathering will honor Nelson’s legacy in music with an all-star lineup of musicians playing the artist’s greatest hits.

The new artists announced join an already stacked lineup including Alison Krauss, The Avett Brothers, George Strait, Jack Johnson, John Mellencamp and Kris Kristofferson.

Nelson himself will also take the stage during the evening that is scheduled to see sets from Norah Jones and the Little Willies, Lyle Lovett, Lee Ann Womack, Sheryl Crow, Susan Tedeschi & Derek Trucks and Vince Gill.

“Willie and his songs mean everything to music artists and fans alike. Like Willie, they have inspired us to remain true to ourselves in every possible way. This incredible lineup of artists on this show is a testament to that,” said Blackbird Presents CEO Keith Wortman in a release.

At 85 years-old, Nelson spent 2018 touring with the Outlaw Music Festival and releasing his 67th studio album Last Man Standing and a collection of his favorite Frank Sinatra songs titled My Way.
