Almost Never Films, Inc., a publicly traded independent film company based in Los Angeles, California, announces that ION Television, a leading family-oriented entertainment network, has acquired the Company’s holiday feature “Country Christmas Album”. The network will air the film during 2018’s holiday season, starting on December 15 at 9PM eastern time.
“Country Christmas Album” stars Hannah Barefoot, who started her career with her leading role in “The Falls: Testament of Love” and continued to star in numerous indie films such as “Off the Rails” and “Bad Samaritan”, starring David Tennant. She also makes regular appearances in numerous TV shows, including a recurring role in Amazon’s “Good Girls Revolt”. The feature also stars Evan Gamble, who has played a lead role in Shudder’s “Deadwax” and recurring roles in AMC’s “Fear of the Walking Dead” and CW’s “The Vampire Diaries”.
The holiday film tells the story of favorite country ingénue Tess Stapleton (Hannah Barefoot) and former bad boy rock and roller Derek Copeland (Evan Gamble). They join forces in the studio to record a Christmas album at the request of their record labels. Though their relationship gets off to a rocky start, they have a lot more in common than not – and before long, sparks begin to fly just in time for Christmas.
