Fran Drescher is rooting for the return of her ’90s sitcom The Nanny, and it seems like she’s already found the perfect dream castmate: Cardi B.
Cardi B paid homage to Drescher’s iconic ’90s style in an animal-clad Instagram post last month, captioning the photo “Fran Drescher in @dolcegabbana.” Drescher, 61, was so flattered by Cardi’s post that she began to imagine a future performing alongside the “I Like It” rapper.
“I got my creative juices flowing and thought, ‘Wait a minute, she’s from New York, we both have funny voices, she could be my daughter!’” Drescher said in an interview with People.
