Princes’ Family Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Often times when someone passes away we find ourselves wanting to blame somebody, and the estate and family of Prince Rogers Nelson are no different. Price passed away on April 2st, 2016 due to an accidental overdose of fentanyl. At issue is the mixture of counterfeit Vicodin pills that were laced with fentanyl, proving to be a deadly dose.

His family is now suing, from the Dr. that prescribed the painkiller Percocet in the life or Price, to various health organizations. Family attorney Michael Zimmer named six of Prince’s sisters and brothers and plaintiffs in the multi-million-dollar lawsuit. Specifically, the Nelson family claim those in the legal matter failed to treat his real sickness, the addiction of certain drugs, and further provided narcotics without a proper prescription.

Named in the suit are Dr. Michael Schulenberg, North Memorial Healthcare, UnityPoint Health, and Iowa Health System, all thought by the Nelson family to have some level of culpability.
