Cher has had a busy year; she appeared in the latest ‘Mamma Mia’ franchise film, announced that she’s about to get into the studio and record an entire album of ABBA covers, and now she’s going to be honored as a Kennedy Center Honoree this December.
The Kennedy Center Honor is one of the most prestigious awards anyone can receive, given to those who have distinguished themselves in the arts, science, political and business world. Cher will be joined by Reba McEntire and jazz saxophonist Wayne Shorter as traditional yearly honorees, and special honors will be given to Lin-Manuel Miranda and Philip Glass (Hamilton creators).
Raise your glass to Cher, Reba, Philip, Wayne, and Lin-Manuel, this years Kennedy Center Honorees, with the ceremony taking place in late fall, and airing on December 26th on CBS.
