Two Lefties Get Dealt on Thursday

The MLB trade deadline is nearing folks and teams know it. For that reason, they’re wheeling and dealing and just yesterday we saw two pretty big trades happen. Left-handed pitchers Cole Hamels and J.A. Happ were traded to contending teams, the Cubs and Yankees.

Both have struggled as of late but it’s hard to find good quality left-handed starters and that’s what these two are. Hamels has plenty of playoff experience thanks to his time with the Phillies years ago. He even no-hit the Cubs in the past, doing so 2015.

Happ and Hamels are surely going to benefit the Yankees and Cubs. Will they help lead either team to the World Series? We’ll find out!
