Two of Hollywood’s most interesting stars are teaming up to begin working on an FX series that has a projected start date of 2019. Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams have signed on to appear in a limited series about the life of New York choreographer and producer Bob Fosse. Michelle will portray Gwen Verdon in the series.
Bob Fosse proved to be the Babe Ruth of Broadway, earning over 10 Tony’s, multiple Oscar and Golden Globes, Primetime Emmy’s, and every honor in between. Bob died of a heart attack in 1987 at the age of 60.
Sam made his name in terrific films like “The Green Mile” and “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” for which he won an Oscar. Michelle Williams has been lucky enough to earn multiple Oscar nominations for her work in the films “Manchester by the Sea,” “My Week with Marilyn,” “Brokeback Mountain,” and “Blue Valentine.”
