Country Stars Who Have Appeard on a U.S. Postage Stamp

John Lennon will soon appear on a United States Postal Stamp, available to the public this September. The stamp will take on the likeness of the record sleeve of a 45 and will display the 1974 photograph used in John’s ‘Walls and Bridges’ LP. This achievement made us wonder what country stars have appeared in a U.S Postal stamp; you will be amazed by the news…

Elvis is the rock and roll or country star that has the most stamps made in his honor. The $.13 cent Jimmy Rogers stamp was issued in 1978, the Roy Acuff stamp was presented at the Opry in 2003. In the early 90s the U.S. Postal service created a series of country stars on stamps called ‘Legends of American Music Series’ which features The Carter Family, Bob Wills, Hank Williams, and Patsy Cline. Johnny Cash was part of the Postal Services’ ‘Music Icons’ series in 2013, being proudly displayed on this beautiful stamp.
