Anthony Bourdain, CNN’s food and social correspondent was found dead of an apparent suicide this past Friday while filming in France, his lifeless body discovered by members of the production crew getting ready for another day’s work with Anthony. “Parts Unknown” was Anthony’s big ticket to stardom and opened the door for this writer to author five books and received nearly every writing award available in the food industry, considered a dear friend by those who knew him.
Anthony began in the kitchen in Manhattan and as executive chef at Brasserie Les Halles, Bourdain, crashing onto the big sage with his bestseller ‘Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly.’ Anthony Bourdain was a native New Yorker, raised a record executive father and mom an editor for The New York Times,
