The Backstreet Boys performed their latest single “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” at this week’s Country Music Television Awards show, and we now hear that BSB’s AJ McLean is crossing over to country, and if the reception he received this week in Nashville is any indication, he’ll be a hit with country fans everywhere. His 1st entry to country is his song “Back Porch Bottle Service,” and it’s climbing the charts as we speak.
The Backstreet Boys hit the charts a few weeks ago with their first single in five years, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” but AJ seems to be focusing on his solo-country career. At the festival this week in the Music City he also jumped on stage and sang a duet with former Hootie and the Blowfish star Darius Rucker at a private event, proving he’s got the courage to put it all out there.
The Backstreet Boys will take a Vegas residency at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood which starts July 25th and continues through the remainder of the year.
