It’s been a terrific year for Steve Miller; enshrinement into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a big tour, and now a May 18th drop date for his 50th anniversary boxed set. Steve must have waited until the last minute to finish his high school papers, because he’s still working on the finishing touches for the 9 album offering.
Steve’s still adding and subtracting images, photos, lyrics, letters, songs and cliff notes for his ‘Complete Albums Volume 1 (1968-1976). He’s also including a 100-page book which will contain personal artwork. In addition to the upcoming May 18th box set release, he’s also working on his very personal autobiography. Here are a few things that will certainly be in his memoir; Steve was born and raised in Milwaukee WI and was family friends with Les Paul. He’s contributed to tons of early LPs of other artist including Boz Scaggs and more.
The box set will begin with his 1968 release of ‘Children of the Future’ and continue through ‘Fly Like an Eagle.’ It’s going to be a busy summer, as the Steve Miller Band is currently on the road with Peter Frampton.
