The Very Best From Opening Day

Opening Day took place yesterday and it did not disappoint. We had a walk-off, a player hit three home runs and the very first pitch of the year was special as well. Let’s discuss…

It all started with the Cubs and Marlins in the first game of the day. On the very first pitch, Ian Happ hit a home run! The Cubs would go on to win that one.

Matt Davidson had himself a day yesterday, hitting three home runs against the Royals in the opener. He showed big power last year hitting 26 home runs in 118 games, but we were not expecting that out of him!

Giancarlo Stanton is one of the new players to the Yankees this season and he was welcomed warmly when that trade was announced. Well, he’s making those fans happy already, hitting two home runs in his first game as a Yankees player including his very first at bat!

Opening day was a great one, showing us that the 2018 season will certainly live up to our expectations.
