British City Ponders Name Change to Honor David Bowie

The world loved the late David Bowie, showering him with awards, honors, and accolades well after his death. Now there’s a campaign/petition in the British city of Aylesbury to be renamed “Aylesbowie” in David’s Honor. It seems this very same city used a social money-raising site to find the money for a Bowie statue placed in the town. The statue will be revealed on March 25. What are a few other honors given to those that have left this warm earth?

There is an Elvis Presley Way in Memphis, KORN ROW Road in Bakersfield, California named after KORN and Dave Grohl Alley can be found in Warren, Ohio, Dave’s hometown.

Glenn Frey of the Eagles has a street commemorated in his name in his hometown of Royal Oak Michigan. If we stay in Motown, Stevie Wonder has ‘Stevie Wonder Avenue’ a few blocks north of downtown.

‘Billy Joel Boulevard’ can be found in Oyster Bay, Long Island, while you can visit Duluth, Minnesota and drive on Bob Dylan Way!
