In rock and roll there have been many renowned keyboardists, from Rick Wakeman of Yes to David Paich of Toto to Keith Emerson of ‘ELP’ to Tony Banks from Genesis, rock has always found piano virtuosos. Jonathan Cain of Journey has always been considered one of the best, and he’s writing a book to share all the details.
Due May 1st with the title ‘Don’t Stop Believin,’ this one will chronicle his time with the band Journey, the inside scoop of the departure of frontman Steve Perry years ago, and all the really cool stories a rocker could tell. There is a difference with Jonathan and this book; the intention is to leave a positive vibe, to inspire and uplift those that read it.
The Baby’s had plenty of hits in the 70s, and Journey may be the best band from the 80s. Jonathan and Journey were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year, and the song ‘Don’t Stop Believin,’ remains one of the most digitally downloaded songs of all time.
Journey’s Jonathan Cain and his book ‘Don’t Stop Believin’, will be published for sale May 1st.
