How Bout That 21 Year Old Alessia Cara, Grammy Winner!

Alessia Cara was named the ‘Best New Artist’ at this week’s Grammy celebration, proving that she’s a talent to be reckoned with. Within the last year, she’s had plenty of tunes on the charts, from “Scars To Your Beautiful” to being featured on the Zedd tune “Stay,” but it was the song “Stay” that started it all for her. The song earned a ‘Streamy’ award for having done well in the streaming world, a Juno award for ‘Breakthrough Artist of the Year’ and ‘Pop Album of the Year’ an MTV award, and of course now the Grammy.

At 21 she’s already made the jump from ‘aspiring’ to ‘arrived’ crediting P!nk, Fergie, and the late Amy Winehouse as musical influences. Let’s just say that viewers of the ‘Tonight with Jimmy Fallon’ saw firsthand how talented she was in 2015; the news getter better and better for this artist from little old Brampton Ontario, Canada.
