This weekend was the first weekend without football, except it wasn’t at the same time. The NFL regular season is over and the playoffs are taking its typical one week off before the NFL championship, but the 2018 Pro Bowl did take place over the weekend. It wasn’t the only all-star game that happened this weekend though. The NHL All-Star game also took place. Let’s break down both…
The AFC all-stars took down the NFC squad on the backs of two Delanie Walker touchdowns. The last one came in the fourth quarter coming from Derek Carr. The NFC was led by a Harrison Smith interception for a touchdown and two more interceptions from Patrick Peterson. Adam Thielen scored the lone offensive touchdown for the NFC team.
The NHL All-Star game was won by the Pacific squad, as they took down the Atlantic side 5-2. Pacific would go up 2-0 to start before Mike Green would score for the Atlantic side. It never got closer than that though as it would be 4-1 thanks to goals from Drew Doughty and Johnny Gaudreau in the few minutes following the Green goal.
