Mary J. Blige is a huge star, that we all know. She’s a star singer and performer and that’s not even including her ability to act. Just recently she received two nominations at the Oscars that proves all of the above! Blige is up for Best Supporting Actress as well as Best Original Song.
She’s up for Best Supporting Actress because of her work in “Mudbound.” She’ll be going up against a ton of big female stars for this one including Octavia Spencer, Laurie Metcalf, Allison Janney, and Lesley Manville.
For Best Original Song it’s “Mighty River” from the movie “Mudbound” going up against beautiful pieces of work from the movies “Coco,” “The Greatest Showman,” “Marshall,” and “Call Me By Your Name.”
Congratulations to Mary J. Blige on her amazing work this past year and these two nominations!
