One of the movies getting lots of attention this season is a film based on true events called ‘I, Tonya.’ The film stars Margot Robbie and is a biopic of the Tanya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan incident in 1994. Margot was born in Australia, moving to Los Angeles to begin her acting career which would eventually offer her roles in such films as ‘Suicide Squad,’ ‘The Wolf on Wall Street,’ ‘opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, ‘About Time,’ ‘The Legend of Tarzan,’ and her latest project ‘I, Tonya.’
Margot earned a Critics Choice award for ‘Best Actress in an Action Movie,’ People’s Choice Award for ‘Favorite Action Movie Actress’ and is currently nominated for a Golden Globe, SAG, and Independent Spirit Award. She’s been busy on set this past year, with the films ‘Mary Queen of Scots,’ ‘Peter Rabbit’ (voice), ‘Terminal,’ and ‘Dreamland’ all scheduled to open in 2018.
‘I, Tonya’ seems to be her more adventurous role, as she’s a nominee for ‘Best Actress’ and ‘Best Actress in a Comedy’ because of it.
