The college football national championship was decided last night and what a game it was. The Alabama Crimson Tide came back down from 13-0 to force overtime and win 26-23. This one did not lack drama though as Alabama missed two short field goals, one as time expired and another in the first half.
Did we mention that Alabama benched their starting quarterback going into the second half and that it worked out perfectly? Jalen Hurts was removed at halftime in place of Tua Tagovailoa, the true freshman from Hawaii. Tagovailoa would throw for three touchdowns and over 150 passing yards in last night’s game.
On the Georgia side of things, Jake Fromm was impressive but ended up with two interceptions. Sony Michel led the way on the ground with 98 yards on 14 carries. Congratulations to the Crimson Tide, the champions yet again!
