We told you just the other day that the MLB Winter Meetings would be a crazy one and it kept being interesting with what happened yesterday. We saw Ian Kinsler, a great second baseman for the Detroit Tigers get traded to the Los Angeles Angels. The Tigers received two of the Angels top 25 prospects in return.
The Cleveland Indians have lost one of their best relievers with Joe Smith heading to the Astros. He’ll be making $14 million over the next two years to pitch for them.
Christian Yelich will likely find himself on another team before the off season is over and some are thinking it’ll happen this week. The Padres are reportedly very interested in the young outfielder as well as many others. He’s only owed $40 million over the next four years, making him a hot target this time of the year.
Others being talked about in trade rumors include Fernando Rodney, Stephen Piscotty, Michael Fulmer and Adam Duvall among many others.
