Mariah Carey is on the mend and feeling better than ever, after canceling a few live dates due to a brief illness. Her ‘All I Want for Christmas’ tour is back on track, and it gives us a great reason to share what we think are her best songs…
It’s not often a singer’s top song happens to be a holiday tune, but Mariah’s “All I Want for Christmas” is considered one of the best. We don’t have enough space to list all the movies it’s been in, and the song is played everywhere today, still sounding contemporary.
“One Sweet Day” (with Boyz II Men) is vintage Mariah, displaying her range and harmonic talents with the Boyz. The song remains as the chats longest-leading Hot 100 number one in 56 years.
“Dreamlover” broke through the charts in 1993, the lead tune from her third album. Mariah actually co-wrote the song, and she even co-produced it. It stayed on the charts longer than any single in her career.
