John Oates Goes Americana with ‘Arkansas,’ His Latest LP

John Oates of Hall and Oates fame is taking a turn towards America’s roots for his latest album, finishing up the project called ‘Arkansas,’ expected to drop February second. The overall sound of the album can be best described as a mixture of Delta blues, Dixieland, and bluegrass. The album was recorded in Nashville, the place John now calls home.

Hall and Oates ruled the 70s and early 80s, as he and Daryl have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. John’s been busy in the studio over the years, releasing a holiday LP for the season last year, collaborating with Nashville’s best studio musicians. This latest project will bring a slice of Americana to your ears.
