2007 doesn’t seem that far off, it’s only 10 years ago. What were a few of the biggest news events of the year? The mortgage bubble burst, sending our country to the brink of disaster, the Virginia Tech shootings occurred, and Steve Jobs introduced the new I-Phone.
In music Christina Aguilera, John Mayer, The Black Eyed Peas and John Legend all won Grammys. What were the Top Songs of 2007? Here’s our list in no particular order…
“Before He Cheats” – Carrie Underwood
“Irreplaceable” – Beyoncé
“Umbrella” – Rihanna featuring Jay-Z
“Big Girls Don’t Cry” – Fergie
“Say It Right” – Nelly Furtado
“Glamorous” – Fergie featuring Ludacris
“Don’t Matter” – Akon
“Girlfriend” – Avril Lavigne
“Makes Me Wonder” – Maroon 5
Observations: Maroon 5, Beyoncé, and Carrie Underwood are still going strong, and we’re encouraged to see such diversity in talent.
