The NBA Season Has Begun!

On Tuesday night we saw the first two games of the NBA season take place. After last night’s action though almost every single team has played a game. What a night of action it was on Wednesday night with many great performances. Let’s take a look at the major headlines from the past two nights of basketball…

LeBron James was one assist away from a triple-double on Tuesday night as the Cavs defeated the Celtics 102-99 at home. The big takeaway from that game though is star forward Gordon Hayward’s awful leg injury. He hurt it early on in the game and it sounds like he’ll be missing the entire season although they are still early on in the process.

The Heat may have lost to the Magic but it wasn’t because of anything Hassan Whiteside did or didn’t do. He recorded a monster double-double, scoring 26 points and bringing down 22 rebounds.

Many think that Giannias Antetokounmpo is going to win the MVP this season and if that’s the case he started the season off right. The Bucks beat the Celtics by 8 and he scored 37 points to go along with 13 rebounds and 3 steals in that matchup.

LaMarcus Aldridge just signed a nice extension with the Spurs before the season began and many are talking about how it was a dumb move. Well, he too started the season off right recording a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds in the Spurs home win.

Houston took down Golden State on Tuesday night and followed it up with another win, this time in Sacramento 105-100. Clint Capela was the major force in this one scoring 22 points and generating 17 rebounds.

Other winners from Wednesday night include the Hawks, Pistons, Wizards, Pacers, Grizzlies, and Trail Blazers.
