A Whitney Houston Showtime Documentary You Must See
Whitney Houston tragically made news the weekend of the Grammys in 2012; found face down in her Beverly Hills hotel room bathtub, the victim of drowning due to a drug overdose.
Now Showtime is releasing its latest documentary “Whitney: Can I Be Me,” which features interviews, music, photographs, and insight from her friends and family, airing Monday September 18th, and throughout the Showtime features in normal schedule. Here’s a tidbit from the documentary; Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” began with Whitney singing the first verse A Capella. The idea was co-star Kevin Costner’s and she hated it. In fact, she refused to sing it in the way Kevin had asked, only relenting at the end.
The soundtrack to the ‘Bodyguard’ earned the status of being the best-selling movie soundtrack, grabbing three Grammy Awards and an Oscar nomination.
Finally, Whitney’s best friend Robyn Crawford and husband Bobby Brown hated each other, Bobby was often times unfaithful to Whitney and Robyn hated him for it.
If you’re Showtime subscriber you’ll love this documentary, streaming on the Showtime site, and airing Monday September 18th.
