O.J. Simpson Earns Parole from Nevada Prison

O.J. Simpson, former NFL superstar and current Nevada prison inmate of nearly nine years, has just been granted parole by the Nevada parole board in a 4/0 unanimous verdict. O.J., 70, had been serving time behind bars at Lovelock Correctional Facility in Nevada, convicted in 2008 of kidnapping and armed robbery.

In clearly, one of the most historic murder cases in jurisprudence history, Nicole Brown Simpson and friend Ron Goldman were found stabbed to death outside Nicole’s home in the Los Angeles suburb of Brentwood in 1994, touching off the infamous white Ford Bronco car case and eventual murder trial, for which he was found not guilty.

Like the murder trial many years ago, the world nearly stopped during the parole. Twitter was buzzing non-stop throughout the hearing.

O.J. is in both the College Football and NFL Halls of Fame. O.J. Simpson is expected to be physically released from prison in October.
