First Big Moves Before MLB Trade Deadline

The MLB trade deadline is less than two weeks away and we are just now seeing big deals be made for teams looking to make a push for the playoffs. The first of the two big trades that went down on Tuesday involved the Tigers and Diamondbacks.

The Tigers sent star outfield J.D. Martinez to the Diamondbacks and in return received three prospects. The best of the three prospects is Dawl Lugo, a third basemen while the Tigers will also receive Sergio Alcantara and Jose King.

The Yankees pulled off a big deal to receive David Robertson, Todd Frazer and Tommy Kahnle. To get this big package though they had to give the White Sox their 2016 first round pick, Blake Rutherford as the big piece in the trade. Ian Clarkin and Tito Polo are two other prospects involved with established big leaguer Tyler Clippard also involved in the deal.

These two trades are just the start of what should be a very fun end of July!
