It’s not every week you see a Country act as the number one act in music, but according to Billboard’s Artist 100 chart such is the case right now! Chris Stapleton has landed at that top spot in part because of his recent album release, “From a Room: Volume 1.” The album made it’s debut at the number two spot on the Billboard 200 chart!
This chart is a newer one, only starting a few years back and looks at sales, radio airplay and streaming services to go along with one interesting metric, interactions with his followers on social media.
To give you an idea of the greatness of a number one finish this week, the rest of the top five includes Logic, Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran. Other Country acts on this chart are Sam Hunt (16), Brett Young (32), Keith Urban (41) and Florida Georgia Line (49) among others.
